My 5th graders write all their assignments into their planners each day. So I have a daily schedule and assignment board for the students to copy from. As the year goes on, I have my students write the assignments on the board after they return to homeroom. Our three homerooms of students switch classes. I teach Religion and Social Studies, one of my partners teaches Math and Science, and the other teaches English and Reading. Hopefully, the children get in the habit of writing in their planner soon.
I use sticky tack to stick the times and names of classes. Each day the schedule is different. So, this is what the board looks like this year.

5th Grade Bulletin Board
Today my 5th grade team Suzanne and Kathy finished the bulletin board in the 5th grade hallway. I was inspired by a post on Pinterest. We had help from two wonderful students, Julia and Brooke. This is the theme for our school year.

Recharging my batteries for a new school year
What better place to recharge yourself than on the beach. About two weeks before I get back into that classroom. Setting up my room for a new year is a challenge.
Maybe a beach theme this year?
A canoe ride down a lazy river made for a nice summer morning.
We spotted a crane that came to sun himself.
Teachers, enjoy the rest of your summer. Life is too short.
