Teaching poetry to 5th graders can go both ways. Some kids hate it and some kids LOVE it. My teaching partner teaches the Language Arts and Reading classes for our 5th grade team. Poetry was in the curriculum plan. Kathy decided to work on alliterations with our three classes. She found these cute little banners to showcase the alliterations.
These alliterations and illustrations hit the mark.
